Zepto launches 12.1-inch Notus A12 notebook

Zepto intros Notus A12


Danish computer maker Zepto, which recently grabbed headlines by announcing what it calls the world's fastest 14-inch notebook with its Nox A14, has now announced the addition of its 12.1-inch Notus A12 notebook. The screen offers a maximum resolution of 1280x800, while other hardware is made up of an 800MHz Intel CPU, 1GB of RAM and an 80GB, 4,200RPM hard disk drive. The Notus A12 includes a gigabit Ethernet connection and integrated Wi-Fi module, along with a waterproof keyboard.

There are numerous of options for the Notus A12, including the operating system. Zepto givers buyers the option of Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, Home Premium and Home Basic along with the older XP. An external DVD burner is also an option, as is an additional 1GB of memory and a TV tuner. Zepto promises the six-cell battery will last between five and ten hours in the Notus A12, which is named after a Greek god of the wind.

The Notus A12 in its base configuration is priced at the equivalent of about $1,340. [via Engadget].
