Clevo M98 gaming notebook

Taiwanese notebook manufacturer Clevo will replace its current flagship notebook, the 17.1-inch D901C, with the one pictured, code-named M98 NU, according to a recent report. The new computer will bring improvements with it, including a larger, 18.4-inch LCD display with 1920x1080 HD resolution and support for Intel's Core 2 quad-core processors. Graphics will be handled by NVIDIA's MCP79 chipset with an integrated GPU, though it will have SLI support, capable of working in conjunction with high-end NVIDIA products such as the 9800M GTX.

The graphics chipset is DirectX 10 compatible and supports Shader Model 4.0. While the current D901C can house up to three hard drives for a 1.5TB capacity, the M98 is expected to make do with two drive bays. While no prices or release dates are known, Clevo is expected to make a formal announcement at the CeBIT expo in Hanover in March. [via Portables4Gamers]
