Ball-bearing Orbita Mouse

Cyber E Sport has introduced its wireless Orbita Mouse, which breaks from tradition by allowing users to scroll through web pages, play video games and interact with image or video-editing software simply by spinning its ball bearing-suspended top. Its base plugs into either Macs or PCs with a USB port and receives the signal over the 2.4GHz band.

The three-axis mouse has adjustable top and side shell buttons, while the scrolling body can be spun freely or adjusted slowly like a volume control knob in a high-end home theater system.

The Orbita Mouse has an integrated lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The mouse will begin shipping in January, and is priced at $100. [via TheGadgetSite]

    PFFFFFT!!

Is this the most complicated mouse to use or what? Everytime you jog the mouse you have to realign the direction button to point forward!!! WTF?

We all remember the original hockey puck mouse that had two major flaws:
    1- Mouse direction.
    2- Carpal tunnel.

I still haven't found a mouse that beats Apple's little ball navigation.

    Scroll ball?

Ohhhhh you mean that little scroll ball that fanboys hate on the blackberry but love on the apple mouse? That thing?

Hey Beluga, some people don't mind initial complication because their brains adapt and they can accomplish more.

    More ergonomic please!

I've got Apple's mighty mouse and it sucks in the same way this Orbita mouse is going to suck. It looks pretty, but if you actually use it for long periods of time, your hand is going to hurt.

I'm happy with my Kensington trackball mouse myself. But to each their own.
