Sony promises "revolutionary" new VAIO

Sony late this weekend ratcheted up claims for its CES plans by introducing a teaser page for new VAIO notebook line. The page contains little information but vows to supply a "revolutionary" new model and promises to "change the way you look at laptops," suggesting a radical rethinking of Sony's existing lineup and of notebooks in general. The countdown is set to expire on January 9th local time and points to an unveiling on the 8th in the US.
Only one unreleased system has been leaked in recent weeks and may hint at the company's plans; a model so far known as the PCG-1P has surfaced in testing and may represent Sony's promised netbook equivalent, which is confirmed due early 2009. The system is unusually shallow at just 4.5 inches and is rumored to represent a cross between netbooks and more portable devices like the now outdated VAIO UX ultra-mobile PC.
Sony's entrance into netbooks will represent one of the last major PC makers to enter the field, with Apple being one of the few to avoid the field over concerns of price and quality.

No doubt...
No doubt it will have a bunch of extra buttons and will be fragile as heck.
Everyone I've known to have Vaio's have all complained about how the laptops can't put up with daily use.
