Telus BBerry Storm Stock

Telus is finally receiving large quantities of its own version of the BlackBerry Storm, a tip to BGR indicates. The Canadian provider has reportedly received a "rather large" volume of the touchscreen smartphone which is said enough to stock the company's stores on a national level. Exact numbers aren't given but may be higher than the initial batch, which may have involved just 2,500 units for all of Canada.

The influx suggests an early solution to a widespread bottleneck in supply for the Storm, which has also affected Bell and contributed to a delay of a full two months between their original announcement and their actual release in the country. The reason for the delay has never been formally explained but is commonly understood to have stemmed at least partly from concerns over lag and crashes in the firmware that shipped with Verizon's model in November.
