DreamGear guitar, chargers

Video game console accessory maker DreamGear announced on Friday that it has released its first guitar controller for the PlayStation3, the WarBeast, along with a Quad Dock charging station for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii consoles. The WarBeast, designed by guitar maker BC Rich, is compatible with the Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Rock Revolution titles, and connects to the PS3 using the 2.4GHz wireless band.

DreamGEAR points out the WarBeast is the only full-sized guitar replica on the market, and it sports a removable neck and headstock for ease of transportability. The removable faceplate allows users to customize their WarBeast with others available. The guitar's whammy bar is adjustable, while the strum bar lights up.

The Quad Dock charging stations allow users to charge up to four controllers at the same time, and is the first such product for the PS3. Xbox 360 owners will need to remove their battery packs to plug them into that version of the Quad Dock, while the Nintendo Wii version also includes a spot to recharge four AA batteries used in the Fit balance board in addition to four spots for the controllers.

The WarBeast guitar is available now in black for nearly $130, while the Quad Dock charging stations cost between $30 to $40 each. [via i4u]
