TRENDnet announces Travel Router, Gaming Adapter

TRENDnet has announced two of its latest devices, the 300Mbps Wireless N Travel Router, and the 300Mbps Wireless N Gaming Adapter. Standing only 2.5 inches wide by 3.25 inches long by 0.75 inches high, the Wireless N Travel Router is claimed by the company to be the smallest of its type in the world. The compact size nonetheless allows MIMO antennas to improve reception. Feature support is likewise the same as for larger routers, including up to WPA2 encryption.

The Wireless N Gaming Adapter is designed for wireless gaming with certain Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and GameCube models. Using an Ethernet port to connect to each system, the device comes complete with MIMO antenna technology and wireless protected setup (WPS) to avoid either having to install drivers or use web administration. For people with consoles like Nintendo Wii, a USB to 10/100Mbps adapter is available to bridge the connection.

Prices and release dates have yet to be given for either device.
