M1Active 520 USB monitors

Alesis has debuted its M1Active 520 USB Studio monitors at the NAMM show in Anaheim. Designed for professional studio use with an internal digital-audio interface, the M1Active 520 USB are a pair of active, bi-amplified, two-way reference speakers that provide an audio range from 20kHz down to 56Hz. In addition to the USB playback ability, the speakers come with a pair of TRS-balanced 1/4-inch inputs that converts them into a computer audio interface.

The bi-amplified design offers 25W power to the tweeter and 50W to the woofer. With the 1/4-inch headphone output the loudspeakers are automatically muted once connected. Available in the summer, the M1Active 520 USB Studio monitors have been company priced at $300, but customers can expect to see them going for $200.
