VUDU, makers of the 1080p high definition movie player, has launched a movie catalog application for the iPhone/iPod touch, VUDU Movie Catalog. Allowing users to search and browse through VUDU’s catalog from anywhere an internet connection is available, users will be able to rent or purchase any movies and shows through their VUDU account. All media chosen will be automatically downloaded to the VUDU box for available use.
Containing over 13,000 built-in movies and shows, the VUDU device can store media in its 250GB drive, capable of holding roughly 50 purchased films. The device contains four video outputs, HDMI version 1.1, component, composite, and S-Video, which can be used to display a variety of resolutions such as 480i/p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p/24. On top of the movie and show selection, VUDU also comes with millions of internet titles users can choose from.
VUDU Movie Catalog is a free application available from the App Store.
