Resident Evil 5 X360 Leak

A new tip sent to Ars Technica hints that Microsoft may be planning a special-run Xbox 360 to mark the launch of Resident Evil 5. The bundle would purportedly include a red Xbox 360 with a matching controller as well as a copy of the survival horror game, a special Xbox Dashboard theme, and a coupon to download Capcom's Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD. Whether the system would be a standard Xbox 360 Pro or else an Arcade or Elite model isn't known, nor is pricing or a release date.

Such a bundle would be a first for Microsoft. The company has released a special-edition game system in its Halo 3 Xbox 360 but has never made a widely available limited edition with a third-party title. The alleged source explains the move as reflecting the importance of RE5 to Microsoft and that the American company will have a demo of the game first, implying a willingness on Capcom's part to cater to Microsoft instead of Sony and the Resident Evil series' traditional PlayStation home.
