Savant OnPar GPS unit

Navigation specialist Savant has announced the OnPar, a new entry into the realm of GPS units for golf. The device is similar in concept to Garmin's Approach G5, making use of a large touchscreen to provide information such as distances and an overview of course layout. The unit similarly provides club recommendations and score tracking, as well as statistics for shot history. It is unknown how many players the unit supports.

The unit stores up to 300 courses at no extra cost however, and relies on a 3.5-inch screen, which Savant claims is legible even in intense sunlight. Within the course view, users can zoom or pan a map using finger swipes. Savant expects the OnPar to ship in early February, and sell mainly through sports stores, pro shops and its official website.

    now available

looks like the OnPar is now available - reviews are starting to be released (like http://criticalgolf.com/?page_id=3198). Do you know of any other touchscreens that are going to be released?
