Toshiba has quietly added four new, lower-cost models to its business Satellite Pro S300 notebooks. Common to all is the S300's 15.4-inch screen, a DVD burner and an eSATA/USB combo port. The EZ1511 and EZ1512 models share the same hardware specs, with a 2.16GHz Pentium dual-core CPU, 1GB of memory and 120GB hard drive, with the only distinction being the operating system, with Windows Vista Home Basic in the former and Vista Business in the latter. They also get Wi-Fi and an integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics chipset.
Next up on the hierarchy is the EZ1513, which replaces the CPU with a 2GHz Core 2 Duo chip and the hard drive with a 160GB unit preloaded with Vista Business. Memory remains the same at 1GB and there is a faster 802.11n Wi-Fi link.
Finally, the EZ1514's specs include a 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive with Vista Business. Other specs are identical to the EZ1513 save for an integrated webcam.
All four additions are available now, with the S300-EZ1511 priced at $529, the EZ1512 at $579, the EZ1513 at $649 and the EZ1514 at $699. [via iTechNews]
