Canon 2009 Vidcam Prices
Canon today followed up on promises made at CES by setting out launch details for its 2009 camcorders. The VIXIA series HD line has been pushed back slightly and will see the flash-based HF S100 and HF S10 sell for $1,100 and $1,300 respectively when they ship in early March. The HF200 and HF20 will sell for $750 and $900 but are now set for early April despite using partly older technology. The lone DV tape entry, the HV40, arrives last and sells for $1,000 in early June.
The standard definition camcorders also arrive later as a whole. The two high-end models with built-in flash, the FS21 and FS22, will ultimately be the latest arrivals of the category and will show in mid-April at prices of $500 and $600. An absence of internal memory helps the FS200 ship sooner and for less with an early April launch and a $330 price point. The DC410 and DC420 DVD camcorders are due at the same time for $300 and $370, while the ZR960 MiniDV camera will also reach stores in early April for $250.

Canon 60D is an hd camcorder. Does the recorded video is SD (Standard-Definition) video? If I want to update it to my myspace, what tool is necessary? Do I need an hd video converter on windows or mac for it (I don’t which os will support it, maybe two), I’v purchased an ifunia hd video converter for my iphone 4, which can easily convert between popular HD video formats and down-convert HD videos to SD (Standard-Definition) videos.
