LG Xnote P510 notebook
Korea's LG has recently announced its latest series of high-end notebooks, the 15.4-inch Xnote P510, which features a rubberized keyboard and haptic touch feedback from the power button along with a lit-up touchpad. There are three versions of the portable PC available, with the P510-UP98K featuring a 2.98GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor along with 4GB of RAM and both a 500GB hard drive and 64GB solid-state drive. For graphics processing, there is a GeForce GT 130M GPU from NVIDIA with a dedicated 512MB of RAM. The LCD screen is LED back-lit and offers 1440x900 resolution in all three models.
Windows Vista Premium is the pre-loaded operating system on all three variations of the Xnote P510. Lesser models drop the SSD drive and sacrifice CPU clock speed, offered with 500GB and 320GB hard drives only, and with 2.66GHz and 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo CPUs, respectively. The lowest model gets just 2GB of RAM.
There is a built-in optical drive, though at this point it's not known whether it support DVDs only or the more capacious Blu-ray discs. A draft N Wi-Fi module is standard across the board. The notebooks tip the scales at just over 5lbs.
Pricing ranges from the equivalent of $1,860 to nearly $2,800, though no specific release dates, for Korea or otherwise, are mentioned by LG. [via Akihabara]
