Cowon launches L3 player

Korea's Cowon has finally released its L3 multimedia player, which first appeared back in August. The L3 sports a 7-inch, 800x480 resolution display and runs on Windows CE 5.0. The only details released on its CPU is that it has dual cores. The device has 128MB of SDRAM and ships with 4GB of flash storage space. It can, however, be expanded via an SD memory card slot.

The device also has built-in GPS functionality while an Eco Drive function monitors its energy use. A DMB TV tuner is included in the media player, as is a line output for connecting to other video devices. There is also a built-in FM tuner and transmitter. The L3 supports AVI, ASF and WMV video files, as well as ASF, MP3, OGG, WAV and WMA audio files.

Pricing and release information are both unknown at this time, though Cowon regularly exports its players to the US. [via Akihabara]
