Viliv prices S5 MID for US
Viliv has recently announced that its S5 Mobile Internet Device will soon ship to stores in its home market of Korea as well as in US and Europe. The device will be priced at $649 when it is released in the US at the end of March. Four models of the MID will be offered in Korea, with the other markets will only get the Premium version.
The Premium gets a 1024x600 touchscren display, while lesser models make do with an 800x480 resolution screen. Other specs of the S5 Premium include a 1.33GHz Intel Atom CPU along with 1GB of RAM and a 60GB hard drive. It will also include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS capabilities. A version of the S5 Premium, the F-LOG, will be available with an integrated DMB digital TV tuner, priced at $699.
Viliv will offer US and European S5 buyers what it calls a "special gift" to make up for an unfavorable US exchange rate. S5 buyers in the home market of Korea will be able to pre-order the device starting on February 24th, with ship dates starting on March 3rd. [via SlashGear]
