Samsung Memoir Feb 25
T-Mobile has used the prelude to MWC to publish official launch details for the Samsung Memoir. The 8-megapixel, xenon flash cameraphone will ship on the widely rumored February 25th launch date. T-Mobile also tells Electronista that the Memoir will technically cost less than the initially rumored price and should sell for $250 when linked to a two-year contract that requires a data plan but which also includes a $50 rebate.
The Memoir is T-Mobile's second 3G-capable, touchscreen device after the Android-based G1 and is also pitched as a navigator with built-in GPS as well as a media phone with common format support. It uses a slightly customized version of Samsung's widget-based TouchWiz interface with support for MyFaves calling and other T-Mobile services. Storage is handled primarily through microSDHC cards, however, and no Wi-Fi is built-in.

The Memoir is T-Mobile's third 3G-capable touchscreen device, not their second. The Memoir is a successor to Samsung's T919, which came out Q4 2008.
