Acer to out Android phones

Acer will release two Android-powered handsets later this year, Engadget reports. The semi-official news came from an Acer rep in the company's booth at Mobile World Congress currently going on in Spain, who showed off a notebook with a summary of the company's product roll-out schedule for the year that mentions two unnamed Android devices.

At the same time, the notebook entries reveal the four Acer Tempo smartphones will ship in the first half of the year, something that wasn't part of the official Monday release. The handsets run on Windows Mobile operating system. No other information is available on Acer's Android handsets, however.
