LG unveils X120 netbook with built-in 3G

LG as part of its Mobile World Congress launches has formally rolled out the X120. The second-generation netbook adds a built-in HSPA modem for 3G data access in most parts of the world and represents an upgrade to the system's longevity at the same time. LG reckons about 3.5 hours of battery life even on the stock 3-cell battery and an according 7 hours on an extended 6-cell pack.
Besides the key upgrades, the X120 also picks up a larger 160GB hard drive and has an instant-on mode for basic Internet access and music playback without having to boot Windows. Its full default specs aren't mentioned but include a 1.3-megapixel camera and should involve an Intel Atom and 1GB of memory.
A newer case design has a soft, textured shell that the company says is both easier to hold and less prone to fingerprints.
LG plans to deliver the mini portable to Europe in March; launches in North America and other regions aren't mentioned, though the company does bring some of its netbooks to the area.
