Genius G-Pen media tablet


Genius has recently introduced its G-Pen F-509 media tablet, adding to its current lineup. The digital tablet allows users to write, draw, sketch and sign documents without requiring paper. The G-Pen is compatible with Windows Vista and Mac software, and sports a working area sized at 5.25 by 8.75 inches. It sports 26 programmable shortcut buttons tied into Microsoft Office, Internet browsing and Windows Vista functions. The F-509 connects to computers via a USB port, and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2.8 or newer as well as Windows Vista, XP and 2000.

The tablet has a 2,000lpi resolution, while the included cordless pen has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and two integrated buttons for controlling shapes and thickness. In Vista, it is plug-and-play compatible, with hand-writing recognition and other convenient functions.

The G-Pen F-509 is priced at $109 and includes PhotoImpact 12SE, Macro Key Manager and Office Ink/Free Notes software. It is available now at many online retailers, including NewEgg, where it is priced at $90.
