Photo Books at PMA

Unibind and Digital Foci have both announced new photo books being displayed at the Photo Marketing Association Show (PMA). Unibnd debuted its Photos N Sounds photo book, which enables users to record personalized voice messages to go with their pictures. In addition to the custom messages, Photos N Sounds also plays various themed songs including Christmas carols and a happy birthday song. Users can set the desired messages simply by pressing and holding the recording button located above the speaker.

Digital Foci is showing its Portable Digital Photo Album with an 8-inch 800-by-600 LCD color screen. Features of the portable digital photo album allow users to view photos in either a full-screen or slideshow mode, and includes the ability to displays each individual photo album with a folder name and photo preview. The photo book also comes complete with a 4GB internal memory that can support JPEG, BMP, TIFF, GIFF, and RAW image formats, MP3, AAC, and WMA audio formats, and lastly MJPEG, MPEG-1, and MPEG-4 SP video formats. In addition to the support capabilities, the photo book can work with USB flash drives, and comes with a USB 2 connection that enables the transfer of photos between the device and a computer.

Other capabilities of the digital photo book lets users insert photos into the device from a variety of memory cards, through the photo books built-in memory card slot. The device runs off a Lithium polymer battery and provides roughly 2.5 hours of battery life. B

oth photo books will be displayed at the PMA in Las Vegas, March 3-5, 2009. Unibind has yet to release a price for its Photos N Sounds, while Digital Foci has priced its digital photo book at $190.
