Official Moto ZN300 photos
Official photos of the Motorola ZN300 first spotted earlier this month have surfaced on Thursday, thanks to Russian site MobileReview. While official specs are still not confirmed, it is believed the multimedia-oriented slider, which could go by the name of MotoZine ZN300, sports a 240x320 display and a 3-megapixel camera.
The handset will apparently have a Linux-based operating system and use Opera Mini for a web browser. To make it live up to its billing as an entertainment device, there is a 3.5mm headset jack to accommodate third-party headphones. Onboard storage is unknown, but the photos do reveal a microSDHC card slot is present.
It is not yet known when the Motorola ZN300 is due for a release, or what it will cost. [via UnwiredView]

Is it just me or does it seem like Motorola has fallen behind in their mobile department? While there is a market for standard slider, flip, and candy bar phones with buttons, sales over the past 6 months have shown that the market for touchscreen smartphones has gone through the roof. And people are willing to pay the hefty price for them too.
Come on Motorola!

models can do so much more for you, but no handset company should ignore less sophisticated users that still need a basic handset. There have to be users that basically just need to make and receive phone calls without the added weight, size and cost. If it plays some music and a few games, that should be plenty sufficient for many users. Apple's one-size-fits-all model is great for Apple, but ignores most of the cellphone market. Apple isn't a cellphone company, so it should just focus on high-end handset that give them huge profit margins. Motorola is showing off some rumored Android-running touch-screen slab so they do have at least one current trend handset in the works.
