Trimble has introduced the Yuma, a tablet PC that expands the company's line of rugged devices. The tablet offers a seven-inch WVGA touchscreen that is claimed to be sunlight readable, while computing is handled by a 1.6GHz Atom processor. Data is stored in a 32GB solid state drive to avoid the use of moving parts, while allowing operation in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
USBfever has launched two new products in its line of iPhone/iPod touch accessories, the Mini Microphone and a 3-in-1 Combo Charger Kit. The Mini Microphone is a small high-quality microphone that plugs into an iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G, and Nano 4G. Designed as a small lightweight capsule, the microphone requires no batteries and is powered by the device it's plugged into. Mini Microphone is compatible with the Nano 4G without any added software, and requires either iTalk Recorder or Easy Recorder in order to work on the iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G.
Microsoft's near-final Release Candidate version of Windows 7 could be due in less than two months, a source within Microsoft tells Neowin. The company is reportedly making progress according to its exact schedule and will purportedly launch the RC build for both testers and the public on April 10th. The update would come just three months after the public beta build and would give Microsoft a full eight months to produce the fully finished version that represents the last milestone.
