HTC Touch Pro2 for US

HTC this weekend has confirmed through a pair of Twitter updates that it will bring the Touch Pro2 to the US. The phone designer says the touchscreen slider will be "broadly available" in most areas, including North America, and that the first launches of the device should begin in late spring. It's not mentioned whether 3G will be added to any North American version.

The Pro2 is a complete redesign of HTC's high-end device and switches to a tilting-keyboard design with a much larger 3.6-inch screen and a new, more deeply integrated version of the TouchFLO interface that sits on top of Windows Mobile. American carriers AT&T, Sprint and Verizon all carry the original Touch Pro in some form and are the most likely candidates for its replacement.
