C905 coming to T-Mobile

Wireless provider T-Mobile may offer the Sony Ericsson C905 handset with its 8.1-megapixel camera as soon as May, according to a recent rumor. The handset, which passed FCC testing late last year, features image stabilization, face detection and smart contrast adjustment features for the camera. There is a 16x digital zoom and users will be able to capture video at up 320x240 pixels at 30fps.

There is also a GPS receiver that will not only help with navigation but also be capable of geotagging photos. The 2.4-inch screen features 240x320 resolution, with a navigation interface accomplished via a D-pad. A Wi-Fi link will let users access hotspots and share media with DLNA-compatible devices including Sony's PlayStation 3. An FM radio tuner with RDS is built-in, as is Bluetooth functionality. Internal memory is rated at 160MB, though an M2 card slot is present.

The handset should be offered in gold, silver or black, though it's not known which colors T-Mobile will offer. Also, no pricing information is yet available.

Another, earlier story regarding the C905 hints the handset may also be offered by AT&T. [via TmoNews]
