ASUS wireless monitors
ASUS on Thursday at the CeBIT expo in Germany showed off a range of energy-efficient LCD monitors, including the EzLink series, which is the first monitor to use a wireless connection. Users have the option of connecting displays to their host computers via a Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) or Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter (HWA), reportedly without any degradation of quality compared to conventional wired displays.
The VH192C and VH196 are energy-efficient monitors designed with the environment in mind, using low levels of mercury and only two lamps to achieve a power savings of more than 20 percent. To maintain high brightness levels, an optical film is applied to the screen of both monitors, while the VH192C has a unique Color Shine glare-type panel for enriching image color density and improves image clarity.
ASUS has not revealed detailed specs for the new displays, while release dates and pricing information is likewise unknown.
