MS Notebook Cooling Base

Microsoft on Tuesday ventured into unfamiliar territory by expanding its mobile hardware to include the Notebook Cooling Base. The first such stand from Microsoft aims to differentiate itself by measuring just 1.16 inches thick and by having a curved design that can naturally fit on a lap as well as on a desk. The unit has a single, USB-powered cooling fan to actively circulate heat and should come in both black and white colors. Microsoft is launching very early and doesn't expect the Cooling Base to ship until July, when it will sell for $30.

A second update sees the Arc Mouse get new Special Edition colors that include a more Apple-like white as well as marine blue, olive green and eggplant purple. They continue to share the same unique design that hollows out the center and provides a collapsible palm area that shrinks the size of the mouse when not in use. The RF-based wireless mice should be available in the new color options later in March for $50.

Gee, and that's what I said when Apple released their 'mighty mouse'. Two mechanical buttons apparently not complex enough, so they made them with sensors that require you to lift a left finger to get the right to be recognized 100% of the time. Oh, but isn't it pretty, with its lack of a line on the top.....

Oh, and what's up is they're designed to fold up for smaller travel capacity, yet have the larger, full size feel when you use it. Exactly what's wrong with it?
