Canon March 25th Event
Canon today told the Danish press it would hold a special press event on March 25th that will likely lead to a new high-end camera. The company is deliberately short on details but promises the conference will have something considered "the best" and implies that the event will focus on its central camera business. It's not yet known whether other countries have received similar notices.
Speculation exists that the event is likely an event to reveal a new camera for Canon's digital SLR line, which hasn't received an update since the EOS-50D last fall. Unverified sources suggest the camera will be an update to the Digital Rebel that brings in a much sharper 15-megapixel sensor, a DIGIC IV imaging processor, and a possible movie mode that uses contrast-based autofocus.
Separate rumors have pointed to a Rebel matching some elements of the description that would ship in June, though Canon is known to announce cameras with two or more months' lead time.

bad reporting
I'm very skeptical of the authenticity of this article. The author obviously does not research or know enough about Canon to write this due to the fact that the last DSLR released by Canon was the 5D Mark II and not the 50D, as told by the author.
