LG Rumor 2 at Sprint
Sprint today confirmed the existence of the LG Rumor 2. The slider continues the basic philosophy of a messaging phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard but with an extra row of keys, a higher-resolution (240x320) screen and stereo audio support for Bluetooth. It can also be customized with removable backplates. The phone continues to sport a 1.3-megapixel camera, basic data access and a microSDHC card slot for storage.
The release of the phone will be staggered and sees the signature black titanium model ship first to online buyers on March 15th, with a blue-trimmed version appearing on March 29th. Retail gets the phone last, on April 19th. All versions will cost $50 with a two-year plan and are being pitched alongside a $50 Everything Messaging plan that comes with unlimited MMS and SMS along with 450 minutes of calling time and unlimited evenings/weekends.
