Samsung Android phone

A brief and blurry first look at Samsung's debut Android-based handset has been made possible at a dealer event in Amsterdam. The name for the candybar handset is thus far unknown, but it will sport a large, capacitive touchscreen display and will support 3G data networks. Two versions are expected to be available at launch, with one made to work in North America and the other built for use in European and Asian markets.

Processing power will come from a 528MHz mobile CPU, with storage space coming from a microSD card slot. It is not known how much internal storage space will be built in. A camera with either a 3.2- or 5-megapixel sensor will also be integrated. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support will be part of the spec sheet, and the usual e-mail support and a full web browser expected of smartphones.

There was no indication on release dates or pricing information for the Samsung Android phone, however. [via Pocket-Lint]
