2009 Samsung TV prices
The costs of various 2009 Samsung LCDs have leaked in advance of an official announcement, a site claims. The information is said to have become available because products are now shipping to dealers, and show sometimes wide disparities in pricing. 3 Series sets, measuring between 19 and 32 inches, should cost anywhere from $300 to $550, while the 22- to 32-inch 4 Series sets range between $400 and $650. Prices begin to rise sharply with the 5 Series, which come in models varying from 32 to 52 inches at costs of $800 to $1,800.
The 6 Series includes the widest arrangement of LCDs, between 19 and 55 inches, priced for as little as $350 or as much as $3,000. High-end models begin with the 32- to 55-inch 6000 Series, selling for $1,300 to $3,600. The 7000 Series offers 40-, 46- and 55-inch sets for $2,500 to $3,800, while the 8000 Series is limited to top-end 46- and 55-inch displays, priced at $3,300 and $4,000.
Running in parallel are a smaller selection of plasma TVs. 42- and 50-inch 4 Series plasmas should cost $800 and $1,200, whereas 5 Series 50-, 58- and 63-inch screens are being tagged at $1,800, $2,700 and $3,500. A 58-inch 6 Series set will retail for approximately $2,900. All costs may vary once marked up by vendors.
