BlueAnt S1 speakerphone

BlueAnt at CTIA introduced its latest Bluetooth speakerphone accessory, the S1. The visor-mount device offers many of the same features of the Supertooth 3, but without text-to-speech functionality. The company added support for A2DP which enables music to be streamed from compatible handsets. Users can answer calls with their voice, or use voice dialing with certain phones.

The S1 features a DSP that is designed to reduce background noise and echos. Users can also connect two phones and answer the device that rings. The company claims a phone can be placed up to 10 meters away from the device, while the battery should provide 15 hours of talk time or 800 hours of standby time.

The S1 should ship within the next few months. Pricing information remains unknown, although the device should be slightly more affordable than the Supertooth 3.
