Propel Pro hits AT&T


AT&T has announced that it is now carrying the Propel Pro, a Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone from Samsung. The device features a slide-out, vertically-arranged QWERTY keyboard, and is mainly intended for e-mail and text messaging. Also present is Wi-Fi and 3.6Mbps 3G access however, along with assistive GPS, the last of which can be employed in turn-by-turn navigation software.

The phone uses a 528MHz processor, and additionally supports tasks such as web browsing or music and video playback. 256MB of onboard ROM memory is expandable through a microSD slot, supporting cards up to 8GB in size. AT&T is offering the phone for an average of $150 on a two-year contract; business discounts are available.
