Leaked Pentax DSLR image

An image of what appears to be an upcoming Pentax digital SLR camera has been spotted on a Chinese blog site earlier this week. While no hard specs are known, the blurry image does reveal a body that is different from the current Pentax range, including the three new special-run DSLRs announced late last month. The camera sports a new-look Pentax logo introduced when Hoya bought Pentax in the summer of 2007.

The company's existing K200D, K20D and K-m DSLRs were also released under Hoya ownership and sport the new logo, but from what is visible in the photo, the new camera's design is especially unique around the area of the built-in flash.

While no release dates are known for the new unnamed camera, the fact a photo of it was captured leads many to believe it is currently undergoing beta testing. [via RiceHigh]
