TiVo Series 4 surveyed

Alleged screenshots from an online TiVo survey appear to contain questions involving potential names and features for new hardware, according to Engadget. The tested names include TiVo eVO, TiVo OmniBox, TiVo Series4 and TiVo OnDemand. Most of the services on the survey are already available, except for on-demand video.

The company in 2007 made a deal with the cable industry that allows its hardware to tune any signal that supports the OpenCable standard in both directions. The added capabilities open the door for on-demand services and other features. The unnamed device could also work without a set-top box.

    I loved my Tivo

Too bad Tivo did not play nice with my Dish Network setup. I needed Japan TV and Charter, after 6 years of promises, simply did not deliver.

The Dish Network DVR in many ways runs circles around my old Tivo, but the Tivo interface and ease of use (loved the restore deleted programs option - Why cannot Dish do this?) was SO MUCH BETTER.
