Pentax K7D Teaser
Pentax may have confirmed rumors of its K7D flagship through a new Japanese teaser ad. The spot advertises a "new K" camera that will be unveiled on May 21st, falling in line with claims of a third-week introduction that month, and appears to provide a partial shot of the camera itself. No immediate clues have been given as to the feature set other than the presence of the expected flash hot shoe.
If the new model is the K7D, the DSLR should have features above those of the existing Pentax line. Rumors have circulated that the pro camera will have a significantly improved autofocusing system as well as features that would otherwise be expected in a price class above the K20D, such as burst shooting above 5 frames per second, a viewfinder with 100 percent coverage, a 1/8000 shutter speed and the potential for 720p video recording with audio and a live LCD preview.
