Moto A4500 at FCC

An FCC filing tipping up today has shown that Motorola will have a full QWERTY smartphone for Verizon in the near future. Known very early on as the Napoleon, the A4500 is now confirmed to be a World Edition phone that would support both EVDO (likely Revision A) and GSM for calling abroad. It also betrays the existence of a 2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi.

It's not known when the A4500 will ship. Leaks showed of working models as early as July of last year and reveal a protracted development process for the handset. As Windows Mobile 6.1 is still poised to be the operating system, however, the smartphone is likely to show before the fall, when Windows Mobile 6.5 will reach shipping handsets.
