FCC approves W518a

The Sony Ericsson W518a clamshell has been approved by the FCC, with specifics in the report indicating it will soon be available at AT&T. The quad-band GSM/EDGE handset has dual-band HSDPA support for 3G in addition to a GPS sensor and Bluetooth support.

Details as to the size and resolution of the dual screens are unknown, and the megapixel count of the camera is also not disclosed. Clearly visible in the FCC-sourced photos are the external music controls. The FCC also reveals compatibility with AT&T services such as Video Share and MEdiaNet. An FM radio is integrated, and the digital audio files are stored on an M2 memory card. At least one Walkman feature, SensMe, is present on the W518a, grouping similarly-themed music.

Because neither Sony Ericsson nor AT&T officially announced the W518a, prices and detailed release information are not yet known. [via PhoneScoop]
