Lenovo S10-2 Netbook Leak

Lenovo today inadvertently confirmed plans to rework its 10-inch S10 netbook through a user guide (PDF) for the new model. Currently known as the IdeaPad S10-2, it would have a friendlier design with rounded corners and a new display hinge but, importantly, would come with a 3G modem and a user-accessible SIM card slot behind the battery. In exchange, the ExpressCard/34 slot would be removed.

Other changes would include an extra USB port for a total of three, flattened and shrunken keys and a larger trackpad. The 1.6GHz Atom, 1GB of memory, and solid-state drive storage between 8GB and 32GB will be stock features, while it will also have options such as 3- or 6-cell batteries as well as VGA or 1.3-megapixel webcams.

The system hasn't had any launch information surface along with the manual, though the minor change is likely to appear soon. [via BlogEee]
