Sony Walkman X pricing

A product page on Sony's rewards website reveals the US pricing for the electronics giant's OLED touchscreen Walkman X digital audio players. According to the product page, the 16GB NWZ-X1051FBLK will cost SonyRewards members 29,995 points, which translates to nearly $300, while the 32GB NWZ-X1061FBLK model will cost 39,995 points, or $399. The prices are roughly consistent with costs for existing touchscreen players like the iPod touch.

Other than pricing, the page reveals either device will ship with Media Manager for Walkman as well as Content Transfer software. Actual release dates have not yet been confirmed, as both devices are listed as being out of stock on the SonyRewards site. [via SonyInsider]

    Good news

I am happy to hear that Sony isn't selling them for around $100 more than the iPods.

But...I would like to have seen Sony go $50.00 lower.
