T-Mo G2 5MP Cam Confirmed

The Walmart roadmap that revealed the G1 V2 also now appears to confirm that the G2 will have a 5-megapixel camera. As spotted in an FCC filing, BGR notes the touchscreen phone will upgrade the HTC Magic's 3.2-megapixel camera to the higher resolution while preserving the same design. It also clarifies the release window and has the G2 shipping for $179 in July, a month later than the HTC Magic for Rogers.

The G2 should retain the GPS and Wi-Fi of HTC's reference design and is expected to sell alongside the original G1 for the summer and early fall, when the G1 V2 takes its place as the primary Android phone on T-Mobile.
