T-Mo Android 1 5 is Live

T-Mobile G1 owners on the carrier's forums today said they have started receiving updates to Android 1.5. The firmware adds an on-screen keyboard, video recording and non-YouTube viewing, stereo audio for Bluetooth and support for accelerometers to auto-tilt the view or play motion games. It improves the web browser's JavaScript speed and should speed up the operating system as a whole.

As detailed earlier this week, the 1.5 upgrade is being pushed over the air in phases and should have all T-Mobile G1s updated to the new Android version by early June. The HTC Magic should already have Android 1.5 installed and won't need upgrades in those countries that already use it. [via Engadget]
