Wintek Apple Tablet Rumor
Contract manufacturer Wintek has been tapped by Apple to supply touchscreens for a tablet device, Taiwanese integrated circuit designers claimed on Friday. They describe the device as an "e-book form factor netbook" but provide few other details, including when the panels would ship. The news, however, parallels earlier reports of Wintek providing 10-inch touchscreens for the second half of 2009 or later.
The tablet has been rumored in development since at least 2007 and is now seen as Apple's solution to pressure from netbooks, which it has criticized as cramped and poor quality compared to full-size portables. It has suggested instead that touchscreen devices like the iPhone and iPod touch fulfill many of the roles of netbooks.

oh that drawing
Are we sure that drawing is not from the early 90"s? Look at that baggy shirt and trouser pleats.
