Samsung S5200 in Russia
Samsung Russia has officially announced the upcoming release of the S5200 slider cellphone. Just 0.43 inches thin, the handset has a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, an LED flash, smile and face detection and the capability to capture panoramic photos. There is quad-band GSM/EDGE support which lets it work in the US, albeit at the expense of 3G. Users interface via the 2.1-inch, 320x240 resolution, slide-out keypad and five buttons on the front plate.
There is also Bluetooth support, an FM tuner with RDS, and Samsung's integrated DNSe audio processing technology. Videos can be played back on S5200, with the 50MB of internal memory supplanted by an external microSDHC card slot that adds as much as 8GB of storage space.
The Samsung S5200 will launch in Russia in June for the equivalent of $320, with other European countries expected to get it shortly afterwards. [via UnwiredView]
