Nyko outs DSi zoom camera, Wii keyboard add-ons

PC and games console peripherals maker Nyko has recently announced the upcoming release of two new peripherals, the Zoom Case for the portable Nintendo DSi gaming system and the Type Pad Pro for the Nintendo Wii console. The former adds an 8x optical zoom to the DSi's 640x480 camera thanks to a detachable lens and has the added benefit of protecting the DSi as it wraps it entirely.
The Type Pad Pro attaches to the Nyko Wand, a version of the Wiimote, that has Nyko's Trans-Port wireless communication technology. It is therefore not compatible with the standard Wiimote. The Type Pad Pro then sends its own signal to the Wii console via a USB dongle that needs to be plugged into the Wii. Attaching it to the Wand results in the A and B buttons to be relocated and adds the compact QWERTY keyboard for more efficient text input when browsing the web or messaging friends.
Nyko has not given release dates or pricing information for either new peripheral. [via Gizmodo]
