Samsung Smartphone June 15

Stoking expectations, Samsung today posted a teaser and sent an invitation for a press event to introduce new phones, including smartphones and other devices using multiple operating systems. It doesn't provide any immediate clues to SlashPhone or others but does say that some information will surface as early as June 5th. Simultaneous gatherings in Dubai, London and Singapore should mark the debut.

Without many leaks of near-term plans, the most likely candidate for the introduction is Samsung's Armani-branded Windows Mobile phone, though this has its own event slated for June 11th. Samsung is known to be working on more than one Android phone beyond the i7500 but hasn't tipped many of its plans.
