BBerry Pearl Flip at VZW

Verizon today at last made public its version of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230. The carrier's version of the clamshell comes only in silver but adds VZ Navigator for using the built-in GPS in addition to RIM's built-in BlackBerry Maps. It also supports Verizon's Visual Voice Mail app for out-of-order messages.

The handset is otherwise a mirror of the version shipping to a handful of other carriers with a 2-megapixel camera, 3G data over EVDO and microSDHC storage up to at least 16GB. Verizon ships the Pearl Flip on June 19th for $130 after signing a two-year contract and receiving a mail-in rebate; VZ Navigator and Visual Voice Mail cost $10 and $3 per month respectively.
