InFocus intros projectors

InFocus at the InfoComm 2009 trade show on Monday introduced five new high-performance DLP projectors in two series, all meant for the business market and professional A/V installers. The InFocus IN5300 and IN5500 projectors use DLP technology and all feature interchangeable and adjustable optics for custom tailoring to any room. A dual-lamp option allows users to run the projectors nearly year-round. There is also an optional split-display feature.

The IN5302 has 1024x768 native resolution, while the IN5304 ups resolution to 1280x800 thanks to its slightly larger DarkChip display processor. Either is rated at 4,000 lumens of brightness, or 3,200 in Eco mode. The contrast ratio reaches 2,300:1, and both sport a 330W lamp. Inputs include two VGAs, five BNC ports, two HDMIs, a component, S-video, composite and two stereo mini and three RCAs for audio. A VGA output and a 3.5mm audio jack act as the outputs.

The IN5502 has a 1280x800 native resolution and 5,000 lumens brightness, with the IN5532 upping the latter to 7,000 lumens. The IN5504 and IN5534 have the same distinction, though their native resolution is 1080p, or 1920x1080. All share the same 2,000:1 contrast ratio. Connections are shared with the IN5300.

All six ship with cases that can be ordered in white, black, walnut or bare and ready to paint. A cable management system is integrated and keeps cables organized.

The InFocus IN5300 and 5500 series will be available later this summer, though no prices have been announced.
