Logitech M555b BT Mouse
Logitech on Tuesday added a new mid-range notebook mouse to its catalog in the M555b. Although simple with just a four-button design, it borrows the metal scroll wheel from the MX and VX lines to either freely spin through very large documents or else to click step-by-step through smaller content. It also abandons RF wireless in favor of Bluetooth to free up a USB port.
The M555b supports both Macs and Windows PCs with the fourth button being an task switcher that invokes Flip in Windows Vista and can be programmed for Expose, Dashboard or a similar function on a Mac. Logitech ships the mouse later this month for $60.

I like the idea of a free-scrolling metal wheel. But what's with the stupid blue LED on the top? I am really sick of electronics manufacturers putting really bright blue LEDs on everything. STOP IT.

... especially when they put them on Bluetooth headsets. How the h*** can you even see the light if you have the damn thing in your ear?

Even worse on the headsets, when it is dark, they just start blinking up the car and driving one insane.
I had a DVR with one of these lights, it lit up the whole bedroom. I had to tape it over to get some darkness.

This looks nice, but it will take more buttons to replace my trusty MX900 Bluetooth mouse. It has six, enough for Exposé, Dashboard and more. But I was thinking of going to an RF type when I finally need to replace. I hate the initial time to connect with BT.
