Belkin Comfort Mice
Accessory maker Belkin has announced a new line of notebook peripherals, the Comfort Mice. The key model, the Bluetooth Comfort Mouse, is designed to fit both left and right hands, and connects to a Bluetooth-ready computer using the 2.4GHz band. A wheel permits vertical and horizontal scrolling, and tracking is made more precise through the use of a laser sensor. Black and white variants are available.
The Wireless Comfort Mouse switches to an optical sensor and a regular RF connection, but includes a USB dongle that can double as a means of keeping the mouse temporarily attached to a notebook. Fuchsia, candy red, pitch black and midnight blue colors have been produced. The Retractable Comfort Mouse is similar but uses a cord, which can be mechanically retracted in order to prevent tangling. Color options are identical to those of the Wireless.
The Bluetooth and Wireless Comfort Mice should ship to the Americas in June, at costs of $50 and $30. The Retractable version is expected in August, at a lower price of $20.
